Mountain Trip was born of an Alaskan daydream in 1973 and has its roots in guiding climbers up Denali (Mount McKinley), where we have been operating continuously since 1976, a longer track record than any other guide service.
We have taken the 35 years of collective knowledge gained on Denali and applied it to expeditions to other big, cold mountains around the world and are not the premier guide service for climbers wishing the highest quality, best supported expeditions to other challenging peaks such as Mount Vinson in Antarctica, Carstensz Pyramid in Indonesia and Argentina’s Aconcagua.
We like to think of ourselves as “The small company guiding BIG mountains,” as we have a small, highly experienced staff in our Colorado office and prospective climbers who contact us generally reach one of the owners of Mountain Trip, who are always happy to provide information, answers and advice based on decades of experience. Our goal is to help each of our climbers feel like an integral part of their expedition, and to that end we provide a level of service that is unsurpassed in the industry.
We offer a wide spectrum of courses, climbs and expeditions, so if joining an expedition to a big, cold mountain sounds intriguing, we encourage you to contact us to talk about what trip might be most appropriate for you.

Neal, nice to see you back on Mt Everest. Be safe, Larry Goodman
Good Luck to you Neal! I was glad to see your name when I tuned in to your expedition dispatches. Always a fan. I will check in everyday to see how you are doing. May 12 is my birthday. Hope it’s your summit day!
